Lawrence Markey, is an experienced courtroom litigator, having practiced in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas since 2002.  Mr. Markey began his career with a prominent corporate law firm in Los Angeles, where he honed his skills in multi-million dollar business litigation.

Later, as a staff attorney for The Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights, Mr. Markey represented California consumers in cases brought against insurance companies violating consumer protection laws, junk fax broadcasters violating federal privacy laws, and a wide range of consumer abuses in the telecom, insurance and health care industries.

Recognizing a need for reasonably-priced, caring and competent attorneys in Southern California, Mr. Markey opened the Law Offices of Lawrence M. Markey, Jr., in 2005.  The firm has grown quickly as his reputation for caring and respectful customer service has spread.  This growth was due in large part to word-of-mouth referrals from happy clients.

Even as a law student, Mr. Markey was bringing lawsuits on his own behalf...and winning.  Mr. Markey has been cited in the New York Times, Washington Post, Wired and other news outlets concerning his legal matters and causes.

Mr. Markey is a non-practicing Certified Public Accountant, licensed by the State of California, and was previously employed by the CPA firm of Deloitte & Touche, LLP. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California in 1993 and received his law degree from Michigan Law School in 2002.
